Episode 25: Worth It: Amanda Steinberg on Women, Money, and Net Worth

Listen on iTunes and Subscribe!

Today we have an awesome episode for you, with guest Amanda Steinberg! Amanda is a serial entrepreneur who launched DailyWorth in 2009 to bring a fresh voice and an outsider’s perspective to personal finance. Oprah selected her to the exclusive SuperSoul 100, and Forbes named her one of twenty-one New American Money Masters. Amanda has also appeared on GMA, Today, CNN, and MSNBC. Her digital investing service, WorthFM, received front-page coverage in The New York Times Business section and she’s the author of the new book, Worth It: Your Life, Your Money, Your Terms.

Amanda shares how she emotionally handled being in a tremendous amount of debt, why her digital investing service is specifically for women (and how they interact differently with money than men do), and a whole lot more.

We are excited to have a copy of Amanda’s book to giveaway! Just tag us on Instagram (@KateNorthrup or @MikeJWatts) and show us a picture of you doing something that makes you feel worthy. A random winner will be picked the day this episode is aired. Good luck!

  • Thank you for introducing me to Amanda!
I can’t wait to get her book and I took the MoneyType assessment. It was spot-on and VERY enlightening!
This interview has come along at the perfect time in my life and career!
I’m a Visionary-working a full time 9-5 and starting my part-time business as a medical intuitive (my true work!)
Kate and Mike, I love listening to you both every week and I learn so much from you! (ps..being a Mainer myself, it’s fun knowing how close you are!)
Thank you again-Amanda is amazing and I’m so grateful she is spreading the word that women can be smart, feminine, AND GREAT with money!

    Kate and Mike,

Thank you for bringing this episode to us, what a great view on money. The concept of never letting anyone take control from you really resonated with me. I am going to have both my husband and I take the money personality test – hopefully this subject of money can stop being such a source of stress for us.

Thank you again Kate and Mike. I am really loving your podcast, and I recommend it to my circle of women all the time.

  • I am absolutely obsessed with your podcast right now … catching up on all the old episodes because I only recently found you! Thank you for existing! :)

In this one, Amanda and Kate talk about a woman, and I can’t make out her name. Rob Goddess? Roz Goddess? Rah Goddess? WHO? I’m so curious about her! xo
