“I’m in hell. I feel like I’m losing my mind.”

I pressed send at 5:30am from my hospital bed with my newborn attempting to latch onto my raw nipple, and within 1 minute my phone was ringing. Thank God she was there.

My girlfriends are my foundation. They are the reason I can say that I’m thriving. They are my sanity.

Being able to text my friends who are also moms with businesses at all hours of the day and night is why I’m not in the psych ward. I’m not kidding. It was a little touch-and-go there at the beginning. (I now understand what is meant by the term “postpartum psychosis.”)
