We’ve all seen the magazine covers with the bronzed starlets and their perfectly toned abs only 3 weeks after giving birth.
I’ll admit it. It’s often really hard for me to pass by without having my curiosity sparked.
“How did she get a perfect stomach within 30 seconds of pushing a human out of her?” I think to myself.
I know better, of course. I know about Photoshopping and camera angles and crazy crash diets and insane hours spent on treadmills.
I also know that there’s no such thing as going back in time and that trying to get any version of our body “back” after baby or anytime is insanity. Why? Because it’s impossible.
Not only that, I don’t know about you, but I’m interested in moving forward in my life, not backward.
Honoring my new body is my version of sanity, whether or not it fits into my old jeans.
One of the most sane people I know when it comes to our relationship with our bodies is my friend Sarah Jenks.
Sarah has guided thousands of women to get out of body jail and start living the lives they were previously waiting to be skinny to live.
In my conversations with Sarah I’ve realized that the way we deal with food and our bodies is really similar to the way we deal with money and our bank accounts.
Sarah and I have the juiciest text and phone conversations that we squeeze in between nursing our babes (she has two under two!) and running our businesses.
You’re invited to one of them.
Join us for “The Truth About Your Belly Fat and Your Bank Account: A Conversation with Kate Northrup & Sarah Jenks.” This live online event is free.
Register by clicking here.If you can’t join us live make sure you register anyway and we’ll send you the recording.
We’ll be sure to leave time for questions and live coaching so bring your body and money woes!
All my love,
Kate
