- What information we’re actually aware of
- What actions we take
- The results we get from those actions
If you want a new reality (like when it comes to your money, for example), the shortcut is shifting your identity.
Identify shift doesn’t happen by just thinking about it.
But that doesn’t mean it has to be hard or take a long time.
I promised this week I’d give you the missing piece to 10X your identity rewiring results.
If you’re ready to make even better money and be even better with money, you’re just an identity shift away.
And today, I’m giving you the secret sauce for that identity shift.
For decades, the prevailing wisdom in personal development has told us that if we want to change our lives, we just need to change our minds.
But here’s the problem with this method:
If our bodies and nervous systems (which can’t be separated from the brain and mind) don’t feel safe, lasting change can’t occur.
Our identities are made up of conscious thoughts alone. They’re wired into our brains and nervous systems through neural pathways that get used over and over again, so they become unconsciously part of us.
Let’s say you make a great income, but you wonder where all your money goes because it still doesn’t feel like enough.
On some level, you know you need to take better care of your money, but you focus all your efforts on just making more of it because good money management feels:
- Boring
- Too hard
- Like you don’t have time for it because you just have to make more money
If you want a new reality, you gotta change the neural pathways that are behind the behavior that’s creating your current reality.
If avoidance is the current behavior, the secret sauce is signaling to your nervous system that it’s safe when you:
- Are doing tasks that have to do with money, especially things like transferring money between accounts, meeting with your accountant, or talking about money with your partner
- Feel any kind of money anxiety or pressure
- Find yourself focusing on how to make more money when you don’t have a solid system to care for (and grow) what’s already coming in
How do you signal safety to your nervous system?
There are so many tools, drills, and practices, and we go way more in-depth on this in terms of specific ways to wire in nervous system safety/regulation when it relates to money in Relaxed Money, but here are some more general ideas:
- Connect with nature (hug a tree, stand barefoot on the ground, etc.)
- Hug a loved one or pet for a minimum of 20 seconds
- Move your body in a rhythmic way with opposing bilateral movements (like swinging your hips while swinging your arms)
Every nervous system is different, just like everyone’s financial picture is different.
However, once you learn the foundational principles of financial and nervous system safety and you apply them, financial healing and expansion becomes inevitable and infinite.

Lasting, beautiful transformation must include the body.
Learn to feel safe in your body, and you can rewire your identity so that becoming someone who makes good money and is good with that money is your reality.
