Guided Meditation for Money & Forgiveness

We’ve all made mistakes when it comes to money. We’ve overspent, lent the wrong person some cash, chosen a vendor who over-promised and under-delivered, paid our taxes late, lost some money in a relationship gone wrong or [insert your money mistake here.]

But it’s not making financial mistakes that’s the problem. It’s holding ourselves hostage to those mistakes that keeps us stuck.

When what we’re after is financial freedom, we have to be willing to set ourselves (and others) free from past decisions.

Beating yourself up for a past financial mistake is one of the best ways to ensure lack in the present and the future.

So what can you do to set yourself free?

You can forgive yourself!

“But how do I do that?” you may ask. Well, I’m gonna tell you!

Today’s episode of Financial Freedom Friday is a little bit different.

Get ready to be transported to a new state of mind and heart because today I have a guided meditation for you that will help you forgive yourself (and anyone else) for past financial mistakes.

Are you ready to set yourself free?

Watch the video below.

When you forgive you in no way change the past, but you sure do change the future. ~Bernard Meltzer (Tweet it!)

Over to you:

What forgiveness practices do you find helpful when trying to let go of past mistakes?

Reveal with me

“In the company of women, it’s easier for each of us to remember our own truth. We remember that our lives depend on our capacity to drop all facades and pretenses. We remember the bliss of just accepting that we are here to be ourselves. And we remember, together, that the most powerful place for…

6 simple steps to ensuring you’re not wasting your precious time

I think we can all agree that we want to get the biggest bang for our buck when we’re working on our businesses–when we’re working on anything, for that matter. If you have even a drop of Puritan blood in you, you’ll probably agree that there is something about productivity that feels divine. And I…

Put down the flail.

Right before the holidays I made a few financial decisions that I wish I hadn’t made. Nothing catastrophic. Just some money that went places I wish it hadn’t, in retrospect. It’s made for a tighter start of 2013 than I prefer. Confession: I’ve been beating myself up about it for weeks. While traveling in Costa…

Going in.

I don’t know about you but for the past week and a half or so I’ve felt harried. Rushed. Frazzled. Spazzy. And a little fried. It’s felt like I’m on a speeding train hurtling towards the end of 2012 and not only am I not in control of it, no one is! Ever felt that…

Hogwarts books, glitter, + a candle: a specific recipe for a feel good year

On Sunday my man and I cleared the day for our 2012 review and laying the groundwork for a fab 2013. I’ve done some version of annual review and planning every year since I can remember. When I was growing up, on December 31st my family would sit in a circle on the living room…

Somebody wants what you have.

Right now, someone in the world envies you. They admire your business. They covet your wardrobe. They lust after your husband. To someone somewhere you look like you have it all. Your website makes their mouth water. Your pictures on Facebook make them yearn for adventure in their life. Seeing you makes them crave more….

What is Your Soul Craving?

Very hot shoes and ambitious women surrounded me. Despite my persistently itchy derrière caused by my choice of hosiery that day, I sat in rapt attention. The mistress of ceremonies, Marie Forleo, held forth from stage at Donna Karan’s sacredly luxurious Urban Zen center. Marie gave us an assignment for that night: write a “painted…
