Let go of the ground that has held you: Glimpse TV with Nancy Levin

Nancy & me at The Freedom Tour launch party.

Nancy Levin is a bad-ass event producer. She once lived out of a carry-on suitcase for 73 days straight. The most she’s ever been on the road in a year is 213 days. Nancy is a road warrior, no doubt, but she also happens to be a poet and one of my dear friends.

When I first heard Nancy read one of her poems (the very same one she reads on the Glimpse TV episode below) before a keynote at a Hay House I Can Do It event I was awed to tears. I didn’t know this woman who I had known for several years had this kind of art in her. This is what Nancy represents to me:

Pealing back the layers.

Forgiving yourself.

Finding the gems in vulnerability.

Being deliciously, adorably, divinely human.

I’m so thrilled to share Nancy with you today on Glimpse TV. She’s hilarious. She’s freaking smart. She’s gorgeous. And she’s very, very real. Nancy’s book, Writing For My Life: Reclaiming Lost Pieces of Me is a book of poems, most of which were written as she was going through and healing through a divorce.

As Louise Hay says,

“Whether or not you are a poetry lover, you will be so glad you found this book. It’s liberating.”

Tune in for Nancy and my Glimpse TV episode where Nancy bares everything from packing tips to her soul. Enjoy!

Getting Really Really Real with Cheryl Richardson: Glimpse TV

Last week I had the pleasure of enjoying an intimate chat with Cheryl Richardson while perched on her bed at the W Hotel in Union Square. We laughed. We sang. We talked a lot about dancing. I was inspired to interview her because of her newest book, which she wrote in collaboration with the legendary Louise Hay, You Can Create an Exceptional Life. The book follows a series of conversations between these two incredible women over a year and gives you many precious glimpses into both of their exceptional lives.

Cheryl basically put life coaching on the map and is a world-renowned speaker, author, and coach. My favorite of her books is The Art of Extreme Self-Care (pay special attention to the chapters “You’re So Sensitive” and “Let Me Disappoint You”.) Louise Hay is one of the pioneers of the personal growth industry, making waves with her first book You Can Heal Your Life, and going on to found a publishing company, Hay House, which is the top inspirational and self-help publishing house in the world. You can imagine what incredible wisdom ended up in You Can Create an Exceptional Life with this dynamic duo co-authoring it.

Go get your copy of the book and then tune in for my chat with Cheryl where you’ll learn about the triathlon of self-care, what’s difficult for Cheryl that she’s learned to accept about herself, how to give yourself the freedom to not have it together, the best source of wisdom that most people don’t take the time for, the surprising place where Cheryl got her best speaking training early in her career, and more. Plus, stay tuned until the end for a special duet between Cheryl and me that you won’t want to miss!

Unwrinkle your panties.

I first met Regena Thomashauer, also known as Mama Gena, when my mom sent me under cover to scope her out at her School of Womanly Arts.

I sat in her living room with thirty other women feeling like I was being let in on the biggest, best, most well-kept secret EVER: that the key to a woman’s life is pursuing her pleasure. I was twenty-two and I was so ecstatically grateful to get let in on this juicy morsel so early in life.

I’m doing back flips over how excited I am to introduce this dear friend, mentor, and way-shower to you today. She’s uncovering one of her greatest creations to date, Virtual Pleasure Boot Camp, and I wanted the brilliant women (and the few brave men) on my list to know about it!

I can honestly say that being a student at Mama Gena’s School of Womanly Arts is one of the top three reasons my life rocks my socks off in so many ways. Recently, my friend Jill Rogers, creator of The Seven Sacred Steps (more on this in a future Glimpse TV episode) called Regena a “woman whisperer.” She’s right. Regena could get the panties of any woman on the planet out of a wrinkle. I swear to you.

She’s my secret weapon for LOVING my life.

Last week Regena and I had a Skype date where we covered everything from the story of subterfuge in which my sister and I conspired to have her meet our mother to the gems for unwrinkling your panties hidden within Virtual Pleasure Boot Camp. Tune in for a good giggle and a little pleasure infusion.

The youngest guest ever to grace Glimpse TV

Today’s episode of Glimpse TV features my youngest, smallest, and quite possibly, most adorable guest ever on Glimpse TV. We happen to share 50% of our genetic makeup and oddly, some bizarre human talents. Tune in to find out what they are, to find out why mud and blindfolds are so much fun, and to have a good giggle with my little sister and me!

Since Waverly is only 9, she has yet to create a web presence. In lieu of following her, please direct your web traffic to her three favorite websites: www.buildabear.com, www.clubpenguin.com, and www.webkinz.com.

I love you Waverly!

Glimpse TV gets naked for it's birthday: Bindu Wiles Anniversary Episode

One year ago today I had the pleasure of interviewing Bindu Wiles for the very first episode of Glimpse TV. We had a giggly, sparkly time up on my roof in NYC with the gorgeous Dyana Valentine as our camera woman. (Watch Dyana’s Glimpse TV episode here and my second episode with Bindu here.)

Exactly one year later a lot has happened for both Bindu and me. Neither of us are living in NYC anymore. Both of us are coming out the closet in different ways. Both of us are reinventing.

I was thrilled to be with Bindu again at the World Domination Summit put on by Chris Guillebeau in Portland, OR a week and a half ago. It was the perfect opportunity to hang out at the Portland Art Museum and get some updates on Bindu’s new look, how she had her basic goodness reflected back to her in group therapy, and some exciting projects that she’s cooking up that you won’t want to miss. (One of them has to do with something I’m completely obsessed with and can’t get enough of.)

Tune in to learn about Bindu’s inner secret thing that she’s now doing in public, to see the most interesting Glimpse TV background setting yet, to find out the subject of my number one stress dream, and to have a giggle with us, because, quite frankly, that’s what we do best.

(I decided to give you the uncut version as I think it’s far more entertaining.)

Enjoy and leave a comment!

Slow Sex: Glimpse TV with Nicole Daedone

I first met Nicole Daedone, founder of One Taste and author of Slow Sex: The Art and Craft of the Female Orgasm on the phone. Somehow I got offered a free coaching session with her and we spoke the Monday before I left New York City on The Freedom Tour. Within moments she had me feeling safe enough to tell her what was really going on and in and out of puddles of tears, she helped me craft the most beautiful intention for my first leg of my journey. Nicole’s ability to hear what is really going on even if you’re saying something else is profound. She’s glamorous, nurturing, quick-witted, and hilarious. And she’s laser focused on making women happy in order to make the world a better place.

You won’t want to miss this particularly juicy episode of Glimpse TV that I shot this past week in San Francisco with Nicole. If the fact that we’re talking about sex isn’t enough to entice you to watch, tune in to find out why I’m not scared of being “too big” anymore.

How to rest in your work: Will Blunderfield on Glimpse TV

I had the pleasure of meeting the fabulous, talented, and completely adorable Will Blunderfield in Vancouver when he sang prior to my mom’s talk at the Queen Elizabeth Theater this past November. I was immediately struck by his amazing voice and his sparkling sense of humor so I checked out one of his yoga classes later on that week. I usually am really not into hot yoga, but his personality, wit, and singing swept me right through that 104 degree hour with flying colors and a big smile. In addition to being a phenomenal yoga teacher, Will also has a major record deal and is heading out on a world tour! He has some really insightful things to say about self doubt and how to love your life so I was happy to steal a few minutes with him on my roof (probably my last rooftop Glimpse TV episode) last week on a trip to NYC.

Tune in to find out about how to rest in your work, why I consider myself an honorary Canadian, something called trembling that made Will fall in love with yoga, and to see a special surprise at the end :) .

Where in your life are you playing small? Where are you playing big?

What is the thing that you do that allows you to feel that you’re “resting in your work”?

Other thoughts/comments? Will and I would love to hear from you!

Pelvis Power: Glimpse TV with Sara Avant

Sara Avant‘s power belies her elegance. A delicate, poised former dancer, Sara’s posture is enviable. And it’s that very same strong backbone that’s held her alignment, physical, emotional, and spiritual through a personal journey that began with a health crisis in her early twenties.

A former type A dancer, born and raised in Connecticut, then polished in the Ivy League, a scary diagnosis led Sara to leave the country for Thailand in her early twenties where she studied yoga, taught English, steeped herself in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda, and Reiki, and learned to slow down and be in her body.

Sara’s first book, The Way of the Happy Woman: Living the Best Year of Your Life, will be out May 1st. Pre-order your copy now. I’m very proud to have written the preface and to be part of this beautiful piece of work that’s truly a road map for women to come home to themselves.

Sara and I got together in Boulder so we could share everything that’s cooking in Sara’s world. Tune in to to this episode of Glimpse TV find out the magical way we connected and why she’s sort of obsessed with the pelvis.

Chris Guillebeau on the world's newest country, why he's bothering to go there, and more: Glimpse TV

Chris Guillebeau on Glimpse TV from Kate Moller on Vimeo.

I was in Maine. It was a beautiful September day and I was shopping in downtown Portland. I had recently made the decision to leave NYC and move to my home state. I was in Maine sniffing out real estate and telling my nearest and dearest the big news.
